FOCUS ON RECRUITMENT: Alarming need for the care staff

As a Healthcare company we supply Healthcare assistants and Registered Nurses to the Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire borders to residential and nursing homes covering shifts when extra support is required.

Needless to say, it has been a very testing time for the Health & Social care industry during COVID-19 but we have successfully supported our clients and temporary workers and continue to do so.

The Care sector has always been overlooked and suffered staffing shortages. The recent pandemic has highlighted the urgent need for support and training of Healthcare Assistants. Our training academy can offer such support for all clinical and non-clinical training and many of our clients & candidates have taken advantage of this.

The protective regulations introduced during the pandemic which significantly reduced mobility and flexibility of staff by allowing them to work in one place of work only meant that several Homes were left understaffed. Despite the recent relaxation of the lockdown rules, the Care Homes look hesitantly into relaxing rules around external visitors in aim to protect their residents. The increase of Covid cases highlights again a need to attracting and training more care staff to be able to look after elderly loved ones.

With aging population it is likely that majority of us will find ourselves in a situation of needing this support going forward and the South Coast is such a beautiful place to retire and spend the last years.
