With so many fundraising events cancelled due to the Pandemic local charity The Dorset Children’s Foundation, like so many others have suffered badly financially.
Last week they were thrown a lifeline as they are one of 2 children’s charities to benefit from the 6th Annual Golf day staged by Simplify Consulting and sponsored by Rodford Engineering.
Kate Monserrate Director at Simplify Consulting said: “We are so proud that the Simplify Consulting Golf Day goes from strength to strength, providing a personal and tailored day for our guests; all with the aim of raising a fantastic amount of money for the Dorset Children’s Foundation. We could not do this without the massive contribution of our headline sponsor, Rodford Engineering, who continue to support us every year. Thank you to everyone who was involved to make this Covid-19 friendly golf day a huge success”
It was a fantastic day out for all and held at the beautiful Dudsbury Golf Club with all Covid-19 safety guidelines in place, everyone could enjoy a day out in safety. The total amount raised was £13,018 which is to be split between 2 charities the Dorset Children’s Foundation and the Rainbow Trust, both such worthy causes.
Neil Dallyn Works Director at Rodford Engineering Limited said: “It has been a pleasure to be part of such a well organised day. The Simplify team have been superb and everyone at Rodford are so proud to be able to support such a worthy charity. We are already looking forward to next year’s event and raising even more for The Dorset Children’s Foundation.”
The Co-Founder of the Dorset Children’s Foundation Patsy Hallmey said: “Although we have managed to continue to support our families during the Pandemic our funds are much depleted as so many fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed. It was very emotional to be back at an event and the atmosphere was incredible. It was good that this event was prior to the latest restrictions. Our heartfelt thanks go to the organisers and everyone that attended and showed their generosity.”
