Greendale Construction Fight The Worst Of The ‘Spring’ Weather To Complete Sandbanks Beach Huts

Dorset Chartered Builders, Greendale Construction Limited, has battled torrential rain and gale force winds to complete an impressive refurbishment and upgrade to two blocks of beach huts at Sandbanks for Poole Borough Council.

The contract, carried out by the firm’s thriving Small Works Division, included replacing rotten timber doors, recladding the brick piers, and installing new glass balustrades were installed to the first floors.

Neil Drissell, Small Works Division contracts manager for Greendale Construction, said:“Unfortunately, we had the worst of the weather against us – freezing rain and gale force winds for most of the 6 weeks, which were far from ideal conditions, but the team still managed to complete on schedule, and hand-over an impressive finished project in time for the start of the season.  The sun finally decided to shine in the last week, which not only helped morale, but showed off the team’s stunning finished work.”

Rob Hooker, director at Greendale Construction Limited, said:“Greendale’s Small Works Division boasts a dedicated team of managers and trades to deliver a whole range of commercial and domestic projects of between £1,000 to £400,000.  The division successfully works with NHS trusts, local authorities, managing agents, private, and commercial clients across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.”
