Greendale raises funds for charities

Dorset Chartered Builders, Greendale Construction Limited, has raised £1680 through the company’s annual charity cake sale held on 9 September this year.

The event, which the company has been holding since 2014, saw family, friends and business associates visit Greendale’s Poole offices throughout the day to purchase homemade cakes and jams with all of this year’s proceeds being split between Langside School and Chestnut Nursery.

Maria Seabright, HR & Finance Director, Greendale Construction, commented:  “Everyone at Greendale has been overwhelmed with the enthusiastic and generous response to our annual charity cake sale.  Langside School is a charity-run special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex medical needs.  The school provides a full sensory and therapeutic approach to meeting the needs of the pupils in order to help them reach their full potential.

“Chestnut Nursey provides sheltered work rehabilitation, in a supportive but realistic working environment for people with severe and enduring mental illness.  Having recently completed a major redevelopment of this site in Poole, Greendale became acutely aware of how important this charitable organisation is within the community, and are delighted to have raised much needed funds for them.

“We want to thank each and every one who bought cakes and jams and helped us raise this money. We simply couldn’t do it without the support of our friends, families and local business associates and their generous donations.”
