Health and Wellbeing centre reopens for physiotherapy treatment

Bridge Health & Wellbeing in Christchurch is reopening for face-to-face physiotherapy treatments on Thursday 11th June. Following the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide lockdown, the clinic was temporarily closed on 23rd March for all face-to-face contact.

In line with guidance from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the clinic is now able to reopen. A range of stringent COVID-19 policies has been developed and put in place to control the risk of a member of staff or a patient from contracting COVID-19, as much as is reasonably possible.

Paul O’Connell, physiotherapist and co-founder of Bridge Health & Wellbeing said:
“We are pleased to be able to reopen our doors to physiotherapy patients in Christchurch, New Milton Bournemouth and surrounding areas this week. Throughout the lockdown, we have continued to provide health and wellbeing services online including interactive Pilates and yoga classes and video consultations for physiotherapy.

We will continue with this ‘virtual first’ approach, treating patients online where possible. But when needed, we can now treat patients in the clinic, with the appropriate safety measures in place. As all appointments are pre-booked, we can limit the number of patients in our building at any one time and allow for cleaning in between. We will also be using the appropriate PPE and providing PPE for patients. Their safety is just as important as ours.”

Bridge Health & Wellbeing is a friendly, family-run clinic in the heart of Christchurch in Dorset, with high quality physiotherapy, state-of-the-art gym facilities, expert Pilates and yoga classes to help clients get better, build strength and feel happy and healthy in mind and body.
