Employees at leading law firm Lester Aldridge have selected Alzheimer’s Society, the dementia charity, to be the firm’s Charity of the Year during 2018, after raising over £2.5k for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every year the law firm, which has offices in Bournemouth, Southampton and London, asks staff to nominate and then vote for their favourite charity. The selected charity then benefits from the money raised by a raft of fundraising activities throughout the year, supported by a dedicated team of staff members.
During 2017-18, staff at Lester Aldridge raised over £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. Staff undertook numerous fundraising events, including running the Supernova 5K as part of the Bournemouth Marathon Festival, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, themed bake sales and a Christmas Fair.
