The NMT Top 20 (2018) awards were presented at a stunning Awards Night held on the panoramic 31st floor of the Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf and were organised by NMT magazine. Guests were treated to an inspirational, heart felt and passionate talk from Lynn Gradwell, London Director of Barnardo’s Children’s Services.
The purpose of the annual NMT Top 20 is to discover, recognise and reward the people and businesses who are most influential and inspiring within the whole childcare sector. Those voted in the top 10 had the privileged job of deciding, amongst themselves, a winner for the Most Influential Person in Childcare. Cheryl Hadland was voted amongst her peers as the winner for the award and was presented a beautiful glass award and certificate.
Cheryl has this year reached a landmark of 28 years of providing childcare for families across the South Coast. She opened her first Tops Day Nursery in February 1990 in Parkstone, Poole and now the family of nurseries is 20 nurseries strong and Tops is the leading childcare provider in the south of the UK, covering Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Tops Day Nurseries now proudly wears the title of being one of the most eco-sustainable childcare providers in the UK.
Dr Richard Hawkins, Editor-in-Chief, NMT said the event was a huge success. ‘’We are very proud of what the nursery sector does and the many outstanding people who work within it, offering superb care to such important members of our communities. NMT Nursery Top 20 recognises the people and businesses that are really driving the sector forward and offers them a great opportunity to share and spread their positive influence to a much wider audience.
‘We look forward to recognising many more brilliant people and businesses in the childcare sector within NMT Nursery Top 20 next year’.
