On 31st May 2018, Cheryl Hadland, Founder and Managing Director of Tops Day Nurseries was voted by her peers to be the most influential person in childcare in 2018.
She is an astonishing role model, international speaker on eco-sustainable day nurseries, the founder of registered charity GECCO and founding organiser of the APPG for Early Years.
The NMT Top 20 (2018) awards were presented at a stunning Awards Night held on the panoramic 31st floor of the Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf and were organised by NMT magazine. Guests were treated to an inspirational, heart felt and passionate talk from Lynn Gradwell, London Director of Barnardo’s Children’s Services.
The purpose of the annual NMT Top 20 is to discover, recognise and reward the people and businesses who are most influential and inspiring within the whole childcare sector. Those voted in the top 10 had the privileged job of deciding, amongst themselves, a winner for the Most Influential Person in Childcare. Cheryl Hadland was voted amongst her peers as the winner for the award and was presented a beautiful glass award and certificate.
Cheryl has this year reached a landmark of 28 years of providing childcare for families across the South Coast. She opened her first Tops Day Nursery in February 1990 in Parkstone, Poole and now the family of nurseries is 20 nurseries strong and Tops is the leading childcare provider in the south of the UK, covering Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Tops Day Nurseries now proudly wears the title of being one of the most eco-sustainable childcare providers in the UK.
