New Cafe SafeWise is a family affair

Sarah Allan from Weymouth is the proud operator a new cafe which has opened at SafeWise learning village and community centre on Radipole Lane.

Sarah possesses a wealth of skills, experience and local contacts after a 30 year career spent working in hospitality in the south Dorset area, and is delighted to now run her own concern.

Daughter Ashleigh and daughter in law Chantelle will help out in Cafe SafeWise, which opens to the public from 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Cafe SafeWise serves all day breakfast, lunch and refreshments to the general public, and also caters for organisations that book meeting rooms or hold training events at SafeWise Weymouth.

Sarah said: “I’m thrilled to be running my own catering business, especially at a venue which I know so well and is close to my heart.

“I’m looking forward to meeting and welcoming customers to Cafe SafeWise. We’ve got a range of tasty food on the menu, so come in and give it a try and tell us what you think.”

Sarah found out about the Cafe SafeWise opportunity from fireman husband Dave at the fire station next door.

He was part of the team which set-up the fire station and accompanying SafeWise learning village and community centre complex in 2011.

SafeWise Weymouth Manager Ben Heath said: “We’re delighted that Sarah is operating Cafe SafeWise.

“Having a professional catering service on site will be a huge asset both now and in the future as SafeWise develops its skills for life programmes for schools and other visitors, and as we build our conference, meeting and training centre offer.”
