Parkeon Transportation, one of the world’s leading technology providers to the public transport industry, is expanding its Dorset operations to meet growing global demand for its innovative transport systems.

The award-winning company is adding a new 17,500 sq ft manufacturing centre at Holton Heath to its existing Poole facility as it ramps up production for advanced ticketing technologies destined for public transport networks on every continent.

“This investment comes at a time of significant growth for Parkeon, driven by increasing demand for our technologies in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia Pacific,” said Owen Griffith, Managing Director of Parkeon Transportation.

The company’s retailing, ticketing, real time information, analytics and fleet management solutions are central to the future plans of many of the world’s public transport scheme owners and operators. Indeed, Parkeon was recently awarded the UK’s biggest rail contract since privatisation for self-service retail systems.
