Parkstone law firm raises more than £250 for Forest Holme Hospice via the ‘Great Hospice Hike’

Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm, Humphries Kirk, entered a team of walkers from its Parkstone office into Forest Holme Hospice’s ‘Great Hospice Hike’ at the end of September.

A team of six from Humphries Kirk took part in the hike, which took walkers on a 7-mile and 6-hour walk, beginning and ending at Corfe Castle. The team hiking through the Purbecks was made up of Shelly Gardiner, Sandra Paton, Fay Russell, Tania Jacques and Anne Spicer from the Parkstone office, joined by Megan Spicer from the Poole office.

The team beat their original total of raising £250 and, to date, have raised £260. Commenting on the fundraising activity, Shelly Gardiner, paralegal at Humphries Kirk in Parkstone, said: “Several members of staff in our Parkstone office have experience of Forest Holme’s care and support to both patients and patients’ families. We wanted to do something to raise funds towards this very worthy charity. We all enjoyed the Great Hospice Hike and are grateful to everyone who sponsored us.”
