Return of a Bright Spark to Poole Audi

The Audi e-tron electric hybrid plug-in was first introduced into the UK market in 2014, and at that point Poole Audi became one of only four e-tron centres in the country.

Today, Poole Audi is taking orders in preparation for the return of the A3 Sportback 40 e-tron with deliveries expected early in 2020.

The new model combines a 1.4 TFSI petrol engine with a high-torque electric motor, which will be capable of a 22-mile all-electric range.

The 2020 A3 e-tron also has an improved OTR of £32,800 in comparison with the previous model’s OTR of over £36,000! Add this to the benefit-in-kind, and the following assets that come as standard in terms of specification, and this electric hybrid plug-in makes for incredible value for money.

The compact boasts virtual cockpit and technology package, flat-bottomed leather steering wheel with gear-shift paddles, pre-sense front with pedestrian recognition, active lane assist and high beam assist.

There are four different combinations of drive mode operated by the driver that depend on factors such as battery charge state and speed.

  • Electric driving (EV) mode gives priority to the electric motor
  • Consume battery charge (hybrid auto) both the electric and petrol motors work together (hybrid driving)
  • Retain battery charge (hybrid hold) mode thus saving battery power for later use in EV mode
  • Increase battery charge (hybrid charge) mode whereby the high voltage battery is recharged by the combustion engine

Poole Audi are welcoming the return of this popular family car along with the other recently announced Audi plug-in hybrid variants of the A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 models.
