Join the HealthBus team and enter our very successful virtual RUN event. You can run, walk, jog or skip anywhere at any time (between 02-03 October 2021) and at any pace! Take part and help raise funds for the HealthBus Trust– a mobile health clinic and a lifeline for people experiencing homelessness.
As a charity, the HealthBus Trust seeks to respond to the need for accessible and appropriate healthcare for rough sleepers and the homeless across Bournemouth. It works in partnership with a wide range of like-minded organisations to provide a cohesive and effective service. The HealthBus now has a NEW bus but needs help to keep the mobile clinic operational.
From January to June 2021, the HealthBus GP and Nurse have completed 871 appointments. The HealthBus Clinicians have been busy delivering care at the point of need to some of the most vulnerable people in society.

The HealthBus has been recognised locally and nationally as pioneering and innovative. HealthBus Medical Director and GP, Dr Maggie Kirk stated that ‘engaging this client group with care has disproportionate benefits for the individuals concerned, for the rest of the health economy and for the general wellbeing of our town’, she added that “having the keys to our wonderful NEW HealthBus has meant we are able to meet and treat hundreds of people locally with essential healthcare.”
The HealthBus works in conjunction with Providence Surgery and local providers of homeless services including the hospitals. These partnerships help people find the support they need to move on in life. By running for the bus you will help us provide care at the point of need. Thank you for partnering with us.
