Chris Bibb, a Chartered Financial Planner at Chris Bibb Independent Financial Advice, which is part of multi-award-winning Strategic Solutions Financial Services, has been elected President of the Insurance Institute of Bournemouth.
The Chartered Insurance Institute is the primary professional body for Insurance worldwide and financial planning in the UK. It was formed 125 years ago in 1897, when the then local institutes came together nationally. Bournemouth’s own local institute was formed in 1922 and is here to support the interests of the 1,354 members and their professional development, putting together events, training and revision days and supporting schools and universities assisting in careers events, whilst awarding top students for their efforts. The Institute also regularly raises money supporting the Insurance Charity and local causes with their events, like the annual dinner and Golf Days.
Chris commented, “I am honoured to have been elected as President in our centenary year and I’m grateful to my predecessor Paul Dyer and all the Council for successfully steering the institute through 2 years of lockdowns. I am very proud of how we have been able to support our members with their continuing professional development throughout, and will continue building on this, with even more focus on the next generation of insurance and financial planning professionals.”
Chris has been a member of the CII since 1990 and the PFS since it began in 2005. He is now an Associate of the CII and a Fellow of the PFS and a Chartered Financial Planner. Chris is passionate about professionalism, education, standards, and professionals giving back to the local community.
