What Recruitment Resolutions Can Be Achieved In The New Year?

The New Year can be a celebration for many reasons, and this includes the world of recruitment too.

What does a candidate need to do to put themselves in a strong position and be prepared for when the next job comes around?

Lauren Harris, Technical Consultant and Harriette Anderson, Industrial Consultant share what candidates need to think about and plan for in the New Year.

Lauren says, “As recruiters, we need to know what makes you tick and what doesn’t, if you left on good or bad terms from any previous jobs, and what you want to get out of us. It’s a partnership between candidate and recruiter, and if you don’t give us complete honesty, we can’t do our jobs properly.”

Lauren offers some simple encouragement:

“Be your CV!”

Harriette says, “Personality is half of the package.”

“If you can demonstrate who you are, not just the skills you have, it gives the client an idea of who they would sit next to in their office.

With the New Year does come a new mindset, but not every hopeful candidate will land a new role as 2020 begins. But nothing can happen if you don’t decide on your priorities, and consider what you want in a role.

Determine your priorities, and remember what you want to get out of your career.
