Opportunity To View Tranquil New Harbour View Crematorium

Tapper Funeral Service is set to host an open day on Saturday, June 16 at its new private crematorium facility, Harbour View, in Lytchett Minster.

Anyone is welcome to attend the event, giving guests the opportunity to view the unique new facilities in a relaxed setting.

Those wishing to come along are invited to come along to the reception area where they will have the chance to view the facilities and visit the ceremony hall. Buggy tours are available for those less mobile.

Harbour View Crematorium has received a £4million investment and is the first crematorium to open in Dorset for more than 30 years. The 70-acre site benefits from sweeping views to Poole Harbour and across the Purbeck Hills.

Situated within Dorset’s peaceful ancient woodland in Lytchett Minster, the unique new space features Purbeck stone which has been used to create both the interior and exterior of the building. With inspiration from Nine Barrow Down in the Purbeck Hills, the overall design has been created to complement its surroundings and provide a calming setting.

The facility also has its very own refreshment space, The Purbeck Tea Room, and is suitable for both small and large congregations.

Steven Tapper, joint managing director at Tapper Funeral Service, said: “We are incredibly proud of what we have created at Harbour View, and will be opening our doors this month to provide local people with the opportunity to view the new space and ask any questions they may have.

“The new facility will give families the time and space to plan a funeral to suit their needs. We can even accommodate weekend requests. All are welcome to attend our open day, no appointments are necessary, and light refreshments will be provided.”

For those wishing to view the new crematorium, but are unable to attend, an additional open day is being held on Saturday, July 7.
