Academy Schools Update

With the recent publication of the Academies Financial Handbook (AFH) and Academies Accounts Direction (AAD), and with a backdrop of shrinking budgets and cost increases within the sector, staying up to date and ensuring that your academy is a ‘going concern’ can be challenging.

PKF Francis Clark, chartered accountants and business advisers, are hosting a series of ‘Academy Schools Updates’ that will provide business managers and finance staff with useful information on financial matters and how they can adapt to recent changes announced.

The Update that has now been running annually for the last five years across the South West will be coming to Dorset and as well as providing delegates with an update on the 2018 AAD and AFH changes, the firm will be offering guidance on topics including going concern assessment, cyber security, and due diligence.

Mike Bath, Director at PKF Francis Clark said: “Delegates find these events very informative. We assist academies of all sizes in digesting the information in the Accounts Direction and the Financial Handbook and what it means for their academies.

“There will be opportunities throughout the event to ask questions during the sessions, as well as speaking to presenters on a one-to-one basis to follow up on issues raised.”

There is no charge to attend but places are limited. Bookings can be made on online or through Lucy Cook – Email: lucy.cook@pkf-francisclark.co.uk Tel: 01392 667000.
