  • How is the skills landscape changing?
  • What insights and experience can you share?

Funded by Department of Education (DofE), delivered by Dorset Chamber, the Dorset LSIP is an extensive, Dorset-wide review of skills provision against the current and future needs of businesses.
This launch event marks the start of a unique opportunity for firms of all sizes to influence and shape the future of skills development in Dorset, enabling businesses to optimise and improve their workforce.
Join business owners and leaders from across the county for the launch of the Local Skills Improvement Plan for Dorset (LSIP) which aims to put the employer voice at the heart of the learning and skills system.
Be part of this first stage of the journey which will see the Dorset LSIP team work cross-sector to identify the skills gaps. This is an invitation for you to share your concerns, celebrate the positives and contribute to creating a roadmap for the future delivery of skills provision in Dorset.
This event will include a panel discussion on current and future skills-needs with employers from across the Dorset business community as well as an introduction to the project from the Dorset LSIP team.
Panel members include:

  • May Palmer, Managing Director, Harry J Palmer Ltd
  • Karen Parkinson, Head of HR, Keith Spicer Ltd
  • Jamie Sergeant, Global CEO, Crowd
  • Raina Summerson, Group CEO, Agincare Holdings Ltd

Refreshments & pastries will be served on arrival at 8:30am followed by the presentation at 9:00am. We expect the event to close around 10.30am.
