Breeze Volkswagen Launch National Car Rental Pilot
Posted on: 31/05/2018

Breeze Volkswagen has been nationally selected to pilot a new rental service, aimed at addressing changes in the car ownership market.
Breeze is the first UK retailer to offer Volkswagen Financial Services UK Rent-a-Car service; enabling customers to select, book and pay for their car electronically ahead of collection at the Tower Park showroom.
The service is already available and performing well in Germany and Spain. A successful UK pilot will see more Volkswagen retailers offering the service later this year.
Research revealed that a significant number of short term car rental customers disliked collection locations, hidden and unclear costs such as damage, fuel and mileage charges, plus high-pressured upselling at vehicle collection. The new service intends to address these concerns.
Mark Langford, head of business at Breeze Volkswagen, said: “We are delighted to be offering this exciting new service to local customers and businesses. Car ownership is evolving and it’s important we continue to review our offering to meet our customers changing needs.”
Breeze has appointed a dedicated rental manager, Jasmine White, to deliver the Rent-a-Car service.
Jasmine added: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to bring this new service to the local area and look forward to working with individuals and businesses to meet their car hire needs – from one-off trips to longer term hire.”
The Rent-a-Car service provides transparent pricing, vehicle of choice with guaranteed no substitutions, low excess as standard and paperless vehicle check in and out. The service will include six-point photography of the vehicle to alleviate potential concerns in relation to vehicle damage charges.
Breeze Volkswagen is offering fellow DCCI members 15% off their Rent-a-Car bookings. Call Jasmine on 01202 713000, or book online at www.vwfsrent-a-car.co.uk quoting code OFFER15
