Diverse Abilities has launched its fifth annual ‘Awards and Thank You Reception’ to acknowledge the extraordinary people that are connected to the Dorset-based charity that supports children and adults living with disabilities in the county.
Anyone and everyone in Dorset can nominate an inspiring person or group that is either a Diverse Abilities fundraising enthusiast, an employee, a volunteer, a corporate supporter or a person cared for by the charity.
The ‘Awards and Thank You Reception’ categories include Employee Achievement Award; Corporate Support Award; Volunteer/Volunteer Team of the Year; Outstanding Contribution; Individual Fundraiser of the Year; Individual we support who’s achieved something remarkable and Staff team who’s gone above and beyond.
Charlotte Curtis, head of business resources at Diverse Abilities, said: “We see the great job that our staff do day-in day-out, how committed our volunteers and supporters are to the charity and the achievements that the people we support accomplish. We continue to run these awards as it is a wonderful way to be able to express how thankful we are to such extraordinary people. If you know of anyone that fits into one of the categories, please put them forward and help them realise how inspiring they are.”
The deadline for nominations is 20 July and a panel of judges will choose the finalists, who will be invited to an awards reception at the Italian Villa on 3 October.
