Chris Jarvis Surprises Children at Langside School

Popular children’s TV presenter, Chris Jarvis, surprised pupils that attend Langside School when he popped in for a tour of the school, which is run by Dorset disability charity Diverse Abilities.

As patron of the local charity that supports children and adults with disabilities in the county, Chris enjoys meeting the people Diverse Abilities cares for. He loved his most recent visit where he met the children and had a sing-a-long to some of their favourite songs, while also introducing them to some other children’s songs for them to enjoy in the future.

Chris Jarvis said: “It was so good to drop into Langside. It’s a school that’s as bright and happy on the inside as it is on the outside.  The amazing teachers, carers and students are the sunniest and most inspiring people you could ever meet.  Thanks for showing me around!”

Jenny Pearce, communications manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “All of the children that met Chris during his visit had a great time. Some were a little star stuck while others just couldn’t stop smiling. A big thank you goes to Chris for making the time to pop into our school during his busy schedule.”

Chris will soon begin rehearsals for this year’s feel good family pantomime at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, where he will be directing and performing as Dick Whittington from 7-31 December.
