DJS (UK) Limited encourages health and wellbeing

Bournemouth-based DJS (UK) Limited has organised a 90-day fitness challenge for its employees. By taking part in the task staff members can improve their fitness and win prizes.

This initiative has been formulated between DJS (UK) Limited and Ocean Fitness, based in Poole.

Mike Sharp, co-founder of Ocean Fitness, commented: “It’s great to be part of such a fantastic work initiative, incentivising employees to get fit and healthy is something every business should encourage. We all know that by focusing on our physical health we can improve our mental wellbeing as well as our productivity. With a good workout routine, we can expect to be more energized, improve our concentration, be more productive and happier overall.”

The competition will focus on improvement in performance, giving everyone a fair chance to win. The employees that demonstrate the most improvement over the 90 days have the opportunity to win prizes including gym memberships, fitness kits, and one-to-one personal trainer sessions with Ocean Fitness.

Dan Ware, CEO of DJS (UK) Limited, added: “We focus on being a proactive, creative and healthy team! This challenge is a great opportunity to test the strength of our commitment, dedication and motivation. I am excited to be a part of this challenge myself. I believe that having such an amazing support network in the team will help me on my fitness journey and we can all work together towards our own personal fitness goals.”

The company won a silver award in the SME category at the UK Employee Experience Awards 2018 and consistently looks for ways to improve its approach to creating an efficient, healthier and energised workforce.
