Dorset Gateway is here to help. The team has received an unprecedented level of enquiries in recent weeks, from businesses of all sectors and sizes across Dorset, navigating vast amounts of information being produced by central government and signposting to the most relevant support available.
Numerous businesses have been helped to access grants, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, the Self-employment Income Support Scheme and other initiatives designed to support cash flow such as payment holidays and the Business Interruption Loan Scheme.
The Dorset Gateway’s Bid Writing support service could help you access the funding to Covid-19 calls to action via Innovate UK.
There are many local, public and privately funded organisations which can help your business to find a route forward in these worrying times. By speaking to one of our business advisors, we can determine your requirements and put you in touch with the right support for your business.
In addition to providing help and advice the Dorset Gateway is logging and raising enquiries to provide a picture of the impact that Covid-19 is having on our Dorset Business community. We encourage you to have your say and complete the Dorset LEP’s Business Impact Survey.
Future Fund – to support the UK’s innovative businesses currently affected by Covid-19. These businesses have been unable to access other government business support programmes, such as CBILS, because they are either pre-revenue or pre-profit and typically rely on equity investment. The scheme will deliver an initial commitment of £250m of new government funding which will be unlocked by private investment on a match funded basis.
