Family Law Specialist Elected To Committee

Trethowans partner Grant Cameron has been elected onto the renowned Resolution National Committee, the law firm has announced.

Grant has more than 25 years’ experience dealing with all aspects of family law. His place on Resolution’s National Committee confirms his reputation as a highly-regarded expert in his field.

Resolution is a national body of more than 6,500 family law professionals across the country who are committed to adopting a constructive, sensitive, and cost-effective approach to disputes from a relationship breakdown.

Grant served on Resolution’s National Committee in the past for two consecutive terms. During this time, he has been involved in a number of projects – including calls for court reform.

“I am delighted to have been elected to re-join the committee,” said Grant. “It is an excellent opportunity to actively participate in the important work undertaken by Resolution – whether lobbying government with a call for co-habitee reform and no-fault divorce – or supporting our younger members to ensure all voices are heard.

“Resolution remains highly influential in promoting a constructive and conciliatory approach to help families move on with their lives – underpinned by the all-important Code of Practice.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who voted for me. Now it’s time to face the challenges and opportunities National Committee will present over the three-year term ahead.”

Grant has experience in dealing with divorce and dissolution, private law children matters, financial cases, pre-nuptial and pre-civil partnership agreements, separation agreements, co-habitation agreements and disputes.

He is an accredited specialist in the fields of private child law and higher net worth and substantial financial provision.
