Frettens take to the floor in Business Come Dancing

2018 marks the firm’s 40th anniversary and Frettens have done a number of things to celebrate everything from 1978.

As a grand finale to this, 10 of our team of solicitors are taking part in Business Come Dancing, performing a group disco dance.

Business Come Dancing

Business Come Dancing is the annual fundraiser for Pavilion Dance South West, who have teamed up with Bournemouth Hospital Charity this year, raising money for a mini MRI scanner.

The team from Frettens are contestants in a competition with business people from Bournemouth. Each contestant is paired with a professional teacher and given 10 lessons in a specific type of dance.

Most contestants are individuals and Frettens are the first to perform a group dance. Our professional teacher, Megan, is getting us into shape before we perform our dance in front of a panel of judges at a Black Tie Dinner and Dance. This will be held at The Cumberland Hotel, Bournemouth on the 23rd November.

Teamwork and creativity

Oonagh McKinney, Head of our Commercial Property Team, is taking part in the disco dance. She says “As Disco was introduced in the UK in 1978, we were thrilled to be able to learn a Disco routine for Business Come Dancing! We thought it was an opportunity to put our personalities and teamwork to the test, do something positive, fun and imaginative. A team of dancers was assembled from willing volunteers and we have all enjoyed the experience, learning something new and laughing at ourselves on occasions! We are also delighted to support these two local charities, we have raised over £1000 so far and hope that you can all give generously to worthy causes which benefits us all in the Bournemouth area.”
