Jon Rix joins finance broker to head Dealerplus

Jon Rix has recently been appointed Head of Dealerplus within the Whichdeal group. Dealerplus was launched in 2009 – after half a decade of operating Creditplus – with the ambition of providing car dealers the ability to manage finance applications seamlessly. Most notably, the company introduced instant decisioning, allowing customers to arrange finance in-showroom.

Whichdeal was founded in Poole in 2004 by Shaun Armstrong after he saw an opportunity to disrupt the used car finance market. Since then, the company has expanded to Fareham and opened a second location in Poole. In 2018, Shaun welcomed Paul Nash as a joint-investor, after a thirty-year career in finance, most recently as Global Head of Asset Finance at PwC. Each year the 100-strong team are trusted by thousands of customers to source and finance vehicles.

Jon Rix will oversee operations and account managers from the Poole office and manage the nationwide team of field business development managers, whilst reporting directly to Group Co-Founder Shaun Armstrong.

Jon Rix said of the announcement: “I’m looking forward to continuing relationships with key national accounts, growing the business with new contracts and welcoming local talent to the team as we continue to expand.”

Last month, the company worked with SafeWise – the Dorset-based life skills charity – to promote road safety.

“Engaging with the regional community, whether through public events, charity volunteering or business networking, is a critical part of our culture.” remarked Blake Hawksworth, Communications Manager.
