Posted on: 21/07/2021

Saffery Champness Chartered Accountants hosted a Go Karting Challenge event at which 10 teams competed for a coveted cup, awarded by Safferys.  Each team contributed £100 to Lewis-Manning Hospice Care who were presented with a cheque for £1,000.

8 law firms took part, including Dutton Gregory, Ellis Jones, Frettens, Humphries Kirk, Laceys, Lester Aldridge, Preston Redman and Steele Raymond.  The competition was fierce and score board positions changed regularly throughout the evening.  Coming out on top eventually was the Laceys Solicitors team, made up by impressive performances from Jeremy Channon, Paul Naish, Sam Burnand and Ella Gould.

Saffery Partners, Roger Wareham and Jamie Lane said, “The evening was a brilliant success with everyone getting stuck in, driving like they’ve never driven before, it was a formidable effort by all.  We were delighted to be supporting our local community hospice, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care and were joined by Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, Nicki Cluley who spoke briefly about the work that the hospice does to support patients and their families with life limiting illnesses.

Nicki Cluley added, “I would like to offer thanks to everyone for their wonderful generosity and support, we are flattered that they chose to support Lewis-Manning Hospice Care and their support makes a huge difference to us.

Winning team member, Marketing Manager Sam Burnand from Laceys Solicitors concluded, “It was lots of fun and a great atmosphere with much friendly rivalry between the teams!”
