Lester Aldridge runners raise £960 for Macmillan Cancer Support

A team of runners from Lester Aldridge has raised £960 for Macmillan by completing the Supernova 5k as part of the Bournemouth Marathon Festival on Saturday 7 October.

Macmillan Cancer Support is the Bournemouth law firm’s Charity of the Year for 2017. Staff at Lester Aldridge have organised and taken part in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year to raise money for Macmillan, supported by a dedicated team of staff members.

Nela Pinfield, one of the runners and member of the fundraising team, said: “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of members of staff at Lester Aldridge and their friends and family who supported us in the lead up to the run.

“With Macmillan being the official charity partner of Bournemouth Marathon Festival this year it seemed like the perfect event for us to get involved in. This follows the recent success of our World’s Biggest Coffee Morning which raised over £400 for Macmillan.”
