Local knowledge keeps Ward Goodman Abreast of the Rest
Posted on: 09/01/2018

Teresa McGuire, Client Service Manager at Ward Goodman’s Shaftesbury office, is encouraging local business owners to get in touch to discuss the many ways she and her team can help this year.
Teresa, who has lived in and around Shaftesbury her whole life, is a Financial Accountant with the firm, specialising in small businesses. Having run her own practice before joining Ward Goodman, she is aware of the challenges faced by those businesses, and gets great satisfaction in helping her clients overcome the obstacles faced.
Teresa explained:
“My very first job was with a bank in Shaftesbury, and having lived in this area my whole life, I feel I have built up a knowledge for the people and businesses here, as well as a genuine passion to see those businesses succeed in a town I love. Having that connection to the people here gives me an advantage when talking to clients, as that local knowledge coupled with my small business experience is indispensable. As a manager, my capacity to help my clients grow their business, become more profitable, and comply with regulation, has increased thanks to the wide range of knowledge and expertise available within the Ward Goodman team at the Shaftesbury offices. Of particular note for the coming year is HMRC’s ‘Making Tax Digital’ initiative, which is something we are already getting a lot of enquiries about from concerned business owners unsure of what steps they need to take.”
Vanessa Cole, of Cole & Co ladies clothing boutique in Shaftesbury, and a client of Teresa’s said:
“Teresa has been highly competent, approachable and professional in assisting us run our small business. We are regularly updated on new government changes that would affect our business, and advised on the best route to take. We know our business is in great hands and highly recommend Teresa and the team at Ward Goodman!”
