Making Tax Digital for VAT – Is Your Business Prepared?

As of April 2019, the majority of business owners and individuals will be expected to keep their accounting records digitally, as ‘Making Tax Digital for VAT’ (MTDfV) comes into effect in the UK.

This will be compulsory for those VAT registered and those with a turnover of over £85k per annum. For some, this is, or will be a major change and businesses are encouraged to plan ahead.

To help ensure that businesses are compliant, PKF Francis Clark, chartered accountants and business advisers are offering free half hour one-to-one sessions.

The sessions will take place in the firm’s Poole and Salisbury offices and will also provide information on the latest developments in cloud accounting. The firm’s cloud accounting team will explain what the ‘cloud’ is, how cloud accounting can assist in record keeping and how it can help to become MTDfV compliant.

Sam Chapman, Partner at PKF Francis Clark said “With the roll-out of ‘Making Tax Digital ahead of us, cloud accounting becomes of far greater significance. These sessions will give business owners the opportunity to find out what is available, what best suits them and how to ensure they are compliant with the new reporting requirements from April 2019. It is important to us that we assist our business community ahead of their MTDfV transitions”.
