New Business Development Managers For Aish Technologies

Dorset-based advanced systems design and manufacturer Aish Technologies has taken on 2 new Business Development Managers, as it seeks to take advantage of new opportunities within both the Defence sector and other industrial markets, whilst capitalising on recent contract awards from MBDA, BAE Combat Systems and other unnamed contractors.

Tony Holmes has joined Aish from IMI Precision Engineering (formerly Thompson Valves), where he was involved in business development within the Defence sector. Tony has worked within the industrial engineering industry for his whole career, having started as an apprentice within the iron and steel industry, and then moved from design engineering through project management and into business development. Tony is extremely knowledgeable about the Defence sector and in joining Aish is looking forward to the challenge of developing the company’s profile whilst building new relationships in existing and new sectors of the market.

Tony comments:

Aish offers a fresh new challenge for me, whilst enabling me to utilise my experience and knowledge I have built up within the Defence sector. The company has an excellent reputation as a systems provider, and I am delighted to have joined the team at such an exciting time for the company.

Matt Osler is a qualified naval architect and has been heavily involved in the marine sector since leaving Solent University. Following positions at various shipyards in Scotland, Matt joined BAE Surface Ships in Portsmouth as a design engineer before moving to Marshall Aerospace where he worked in a business development role for the subsidiary Advanced Composites. Based in Leeds, Matt will work alongside Tony to develop Aish’s global footprint and support the company’s development of complex process systems and rugged technology.

Matt comments:

As soon as I met the team at Aish I was struck by their professional approach, and also the passion to improve in every department that was on display. The company is a fun place to work, but what it does is deadly serious and its capability makes a bold statement within the industry.”

John Atkins, Sales and Marketing Director for Aish, welcomes the two new Business Development roles and is looking forward to having the new team in place:

Both Tony and Matt bring a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to Aish, and we are delighted they have joined us. The Defence industry has been through a slower period recently as some major projects have been on hold, however we have seen signs of life again recently and Aish is now well positioned to take full advantage of the anticipated growth. Both Tony and Matt will be spending the majority of their time visiting customers both here and overseas, and we are confident their arrival will signify a key marker in the continued growth of Aish.”

Aish is part of AGI Holdings, an investment affiliate of J.F. Lehman & Company, along with operating subsidiaries Aeronautical & General Instruments (also based in Poole), Hoffman Engineering in the US and Aircraft Appliance and Equipment based in Canada. Aish enhances AGI’s portfolio of mission critical situational awareness, filtration and other related products and services.
