Powering Innovation – Boost Resilience and Growth in Your Business

There is no denying that more effective management can have a transformative effect on business performance. And given the perfect storm of Covid-19, Brexit and the cost of living crisis, there has never been a more pressing reason for business owners to explore improving their capabilities.

Thankfully there is potential help available through Bournemouth University and Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are a Government-supported scheme designed to enable businesses to extract the expertise from their local university and improve their fortunes. They are not new though – in fact, they are fast approaching their fiftieth birthday. Each year, around £50m of government funding is invested in projects across the country that help drive collaborations between industry and academia. With over 800 project live across the UK and Northern Ireland and continued investment in the scheme, Bournemouth University is looking to help connect businesses across the region to this highly effective innovation funding.

So how can they help your business? KTPs are a brilliant and effective tool that have been proven to help make businesses more resilient and boost growth.  Imagine identifying a new process that’ll make your business flourish, or having a substantial hurdle standing between you and opportunity your business could exploit, what about that innovative new product or service you want to develop, but don’t quite know where to start? A KTP is your key to unlocking these opportunities and with it, exponential growth for your business.

To help connect businesses with academic colleagues, Bournemouth University will be hosting an engaging event, at the end of February focused on building potential partnerships. The event will consider the challenges faced by businesses, demonstrate ways in which the KTP scheme might help, and will also provide a chance to learn more about the University’s areas of expertise.

Dates and times: Wed 21st February from 3pm to 5pm (arrive from 2.30pm for refreshments)
Location: Bournemouth University Talbot Campus – Fusion Building, Room F202
