ROUTEpr and events, a specialist agency based in Wimborne, Dorset, with over 30 years’ experience in the PR and events industry expands to welcome two new members to the team.
ROUTEpr and events have a variety of local and national PR clients and run a range of events including the BAPTAs – an annual awards ceremony celebrating tourism across the BH postcodes, and Taste of the South Festival – a food, drink and lifestyle event, which is being held across the weekend of 21-22nd July 2018.
Sian Smith has joined the team as Account Executive. Sian has over 20 years’ experience working in PR for an array of businesses including global telecommunications and local government and she also has a degree in PR.
Following a career break, Sian has hit the ground running taking part in a variety of new business launches, as well as the BAPTAs, Discover Wimborne, Abbots Court Rural Escape. Sian is working with the team creating press releases, copy and blogs as well as interacting with clients, and supporting the events team. Sian is a keen baker and regularly brings a cake into the office – much to the delight of the team!
Unity Thomas has joined the team for 2 months as part of her Creative Events Management degree at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB). Unity worked with ROUTEpr and events in 2017 as a volunteer at Taste of the South Festival and she also was involved in the BAPTAs.
Unity will play an integral support role and will be working on the 2018 Taste of the South festival, supporting exhibitors, booking entertainment, as well as handling social media updates across all media platforms, writing blog and creating content. She will also be supporting the team with other events and PR activities.
