Dorset Based Finance firm Strategic Solutions are pledging their continued support for another year to the Dorset Deaf Children’s Society. Since supporting the charity in 2012, the company has donated a total of £7,120 to help this worthwhile cause.
Jeff Steninger, Chairman of the Strategic Solutions Community Initiative said ‘we are proud to be attached to such a fantastic charity where all the trustees give up their time for free to help out. We believe that local businesses should be integral to the local communities they serve and with our Dorset based Head Office there was a natural link. We love the fact that every penny we give goes to making the lives of the children and families better.’
The Dorset Deaf Children’s Society is a registered charity that provides help and information for hearing impaired children and their families throughout the county of Dorset. It is run by a committee made up of parents and carers of hearing-impaired children.
Shirley Sorbie, Founder of the charity explains “without donations from companies such as Strategic Solutions Financial Services we would be unable to provide this support. It means so much to us as we are only a small local charity run by volunteers with limited funds and we are extremely grateful.”
The Society provides grants and equipment to families with a hearing-impaired child, the Hearing Support Service, Audiology, schools and individuals. Every year the society presents the Jenny Barrett Deaf Child Achievement Award acknowledging the achievements made by hearing impaired children and young people.
