Ellis Jones is celebrating after securing a triple victory at the 2018 Dorset Legal Awards.
The regional law firm was named Law Firm of the Year.
Senior Associate in Banking & Finance Paul Kanolik, won Lawyer of the Year.
And Managing Partner Nigel Smith was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ellis Jones, which has offices in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs (Poole), Ringwood, Swanage and London, was shortlisted for seven accolades at this year’s awards.
They were Lawyer of the Year (Katie Taft and Paul Kanolik), Partner of the Year (Lauren Day), Team of the Year (Personal Injury, Company/Commercial and Dispute Resolution) and Law Firm of the Year.
The Dorset Legal Awards were launched by legal recruitment consultancy ASH Elite in association with IT consultancy Quostar as a way of bringing Dorset’s legal community together.
More than 200 nominations were received from 25 firms with an independent judging panel whittling this down to a shortlist of 42 across 14 categories.
The winners were announced at a glittering black tie ceremony at the Bournemouth International Centre.
Nigel Smith said: “This has been a fantastic year for Ellis Jones and we’re very proud that so many of our team were up for awards.
“The county’s legal sector is booming with more than 200 practices employing over 1,000 qualified legal professionals so to be shortlisted for an award, let alone win, is a huge feather in our cap.”
