Trethowans has made a further two appointments at its Bournemouth office as it continues to grow at a rate of knots.
The law firm has seen significant growth since opening an additional office in Dorset, so much so that it is close to outgrowing its existing space within a year and is in talks to expand its office.
Adding to the expanding team this month is Bournemouth resident Jonathon Sherman, who joins as an Associate in the firm’s corporate team. Jonathon, previously at Coffin Mew, has a wide range of experience advising both individuals and businesses in a variety of corporate transactions. He specialises in mergers, acquisitions and disposals, as well as shareholders agreements and articles of association, company law and employee share schemes.
Mark Nixon said that Jonathon’s appointment would help to serve the increasing number of businesses looking to Trethowans for support.
“We are seeing significant growth in the corporate team, with turnover up 16 per cent on last year,” he said. “Our team of 15 lawyers – four of which are based in Bournemouth – are working on a diverse mixture of banking and commercial contracts as well as mergers and acquisitions. Recent deal values have ranged between £750,000 and £35m, showing the true scope of our work.”
Also joining Trethowans in Bournemouth is Fay Russell, who has lived and worked in the Bournemouth area her whole life. Fay joins the residential property team, with a wealth of experience in transactions, sales, transfers and remortgages.
