Teachers Building Society Donates over £3,800 to Education Wellbeing Charity

Teachers Building Society was delighted to donate just over £3,800 to Education Support this year with its annual Charity Saver Account donation.

Education Support is the UK’s only charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of teaching professionals and everyone who works in education.

The donation was comprised of funds from the Teachers Building Society Charity Saver – an account which was set up in 2010 to provide a competitive saving rate for savers whilst at the same time providing valuable help to teachers and other education staff. Interest from the accounts is donated annually to Education Support – the equivalent to 0.25% of all the funds invested.

Simon Beresford, Chief Executive for Teachers Building Society, said: “We are very happy to be making another contribution towards the fantastic service that Education Support provides to the education community. As an organisation with a strong focus on health and wellbeing ourselves and a shared perspective in supporting the education workforce, we understand how vital this support is and the real difference it can make.”

Katie Hepworth, Director of Fundraising at Education Support, said: “We’re delighted that Teachers Building Society have supported us again this year. There’s an ever increasing need for our services as the pressures facing teachers get ever more challenging. We’re there 24/7 to support everyone working in education, and can only do this thanks to donations from people like you. Thank you.”

The Charity Saver is now a closed account but ran from 2010 to 2014. Donations continue to be made every year from the invested funds.
