Teams Battle It Out to Fun-Raise for Charity

Teams battled it out at Canford School last Sunday as part of the Diverse Abilities’ Totally Wiped Out challenge event, raising funds for the local disability charity.

Groups of fundraisers warmed up for the challenge by taking part in a dance off before taking to various obstacles, which included a sweeper arm, x-treme zorbing, obstacle course, perilous pyramid and a wrecking ball.

Lauren McCullough, event manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “It was such a fantastic day, with many local businesses and charity staff teams taking part and supporting us. Everyone had a great time and the weather was perfect.”

Congratulations go to the team ‘It’s definitely coming home’ for beating stiff competition and taking home the first-place trophy. Also, well done to second place winners ‘It’s coming home’ and third place ‘Flipping Fantastic’ who were one of the charity’s staff teams.

The money raised at this year’s Totally Wiped Out event will help the charity to continue supporting extraordinary children and adults with disabilities across the county, to enable them to achieve extraordinary things and reach their full potential.
