Specialist M&A boutique, TheNonExec, is partnering with Dorset Chamber in presenting a series of Technology and Innovation forums to be held throughout 2019 and 2020.

We are planning a quarterly forum that will bring experts from a range of industries to discuss emerging technologies such as artificial Intelligence, blockchain and machine learning. These events are designed for (‘C Suite’, Directors) in the manufacturing, technology and engineering sectors.

The first forum will be held on 28th June 2019 at Centre VR, Bournemouth. The theme for this forum is aimed at companies wishing to explore Industry 4.0 – the benefits of adopting connected devices and digitally enabled devices within production, factory and office environments.

This forum presents a unique opportunity to meet with senior leaders within the local manufacturing and technology sector together with keynote speakers including global leaders Schneider Electric and RS Components. The morning will cover:

  • Adopting connected devices & digitally enabled devices
  • Industrial automation 4.0 technologies
  • Case studies (how implementing emerging technologies have delivered sustainable competitive advantage)

These topics are very much at the forefront of the current technology revolution and is a great opportunity to come and meet and network with an audience of senior leaders and business owners. SPEAKER BIOS:

Justin Levine MBA MIoD

Justin is the Managing Director of TheNonExec Limited, a boutique firm specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within manufacturing, technology, IT, wholesale and distribution.

Based near Ringwood, the company specialises in helping its clients build and extract shareholder value upon exit. With the support of a dedicated team, he provides hands-on leadership of all client projects.

Educated at Imperial College (Aeronautical Engineering) and Kingston University (MBA), Justin’s early career began within aerospace & defence, moving on to the world of industrial motion control across a diverse number of industries. As a young engineer, he was promoted to Managing Director in his twenties working with Swiss-based SIG. This was followed by a long-stint within energy specialist Schneider Electric as sector Managing Director, Sales Director (Asia Pacific & Americas) followed by a corporate VP role across business units in Europe, Asia, US and Latin America.

Aged 36 and living in Strasbourg France, Justin created an independent consulting firm. Working with various international clients, the firm began to focus on M&A over ten years ago. As well as clients within manufacturing, engineering and technology, Justin has advised companies in diverse sectors such as healthcare, retail, wholesale, food & beverage & education.

His clients say that he brings energy, experience and passion to each project. His contribution is to be the constructive protagonist, the big-picture thinker, and to challenge the status quo. He has senior contacts across the globe in multiple industries and brings his clients a wealth of ideas and opportunity, whether building shareholder value, or leading acquisitions – divestments.

As well as leading various M&A projects, Justin is a Non-Executive Director for several successful companies who wish to significantly improve shareholder value.

Justin is a guest lecturer and speaker at Kingston University and the West London Focus Business School forum.

John Armstrong

John Armstrong is a seasoned executive with long-standing expertise within industrial automation. Having spent 17 years at GEC and 19 years at Rockwell Automation, John now heads up the UK Digital & Industrial Automation sectors within global energy and automation giant, Schneider Electric.

Having followed a traditional Electrical Engineering apprenticeship with GEC, John has extensive experience within industrial controls, safety, power control and industrial automation. With a heavy influence of the Digital Plant offering within Schneider Electric, he is well-placed to discuss the application of digital technologies in a manufacturing and control environment.

Richard Jeffers Ceng FIMechE MAPM

Richard is a chartered engineer, and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

With a 25 year career In operational and engineering leadership roles Richard is no stranger to the challenges of running a large engineering function, having spent 8 years as the Group Engineer for Heineken UK, responsible for maintenance, capital investment and energy management, including the regeneration of two legacy production sites, and the replacement of a 40 year old control and automation environment.

Since leaving Heineken, he spent 3 years as a consultant in a range of capital, maintenance and operational improvement programmes in the food and beverage industry.

He joined RS Components in 2017 as the Technical Director for Northern Europe where he leads the Electrocomponents Industrial IoT strategy.
