The Beacon retains five-star rating after spot check visit

The Beacon at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, has retained its Level Five (Very Good) food hygiene rating following an unannounced visit from BCP Environmental Services.

The inspector arrived mid-service at lunchtime and spent an hour examining every aspect of The Beacon operation, producing a report that was very complimentary about the cleanliness and order in the kitchen.

The level five rating means that we maintain our food safety standards, hygiene practices, customer care and staff training to a consistently high level,” explains Martyn Balson, Lighthouse General Manager.

“This is an excellent achievement and I would like to thank Trinh, Rocio, Tom and the rest of the team for their hard work in ensuring very high standards are always delivered.

The Beacon has maintained a five-star rating ever since Lighthouse resumed management of the restaurant in January 2018.

Dedicated to using the best local produce and ingredients wherever possible, The Beacon is the perfect place to enjoy a meal before a show, meet friends for lunch, pick up a morning coffee or a refreshing afternoon tea.

A refreshed menu is about to be launched for Spring.
