Town centre redevelopment site in Gillingham comes to the market

The former Rose’s Yard in Station Road, Gillingham, has come to the market through Savills.

The 0.7 acre site currently has a Victorian, two-storey brick building and a modern steel industrial shed set within an open yard. There is full planning permission in place for 17 new homes, including the conversion of the existing Victorian building, as well as a flexible commercial space.

Vanessa Patel of Savills development team says: “This prominent redevelopment site is in the heart of the town, a short walk from a number of shops, supermarkets and schools. Gillingham is a popular and expanding town with the benefit of a mainline railway station adjacent to this site, providing trains to London in around two hours.”

The site is being marketed jointly by Savills and Chesters Harcourt, who are inviting unconditional offers.
