Trethowans celebrates speedway champs following British title success

Long-term sponsor of Poole Pirates, law firm Trethowans, is celebrating the Pirates’ success at last night’s SGB Premiership – their biggest win in recent history.

Trethowans has been a staunch supporter of Poole Pirates since 2016. The law firm opened an office in Poole in 2015 after merging with Dickinson Manser. With business in the region booming, it followed up by opening a second office in Bournemouth earlier this year.

Managing partner Chris Whiteley says the partnership with Poole Pirates has been important as it continues to grow in the Bournemouth and Poole area.

He said: “There are a lot of similarities between ourselves and Poole Pirates. Like us, they are incredibly ambitious, they work hard and they understand the importance of creating the very best team. The last year has seen us build a stellar team in our new Bournemouth office and we’re pleased that our success in the area has helped us continue our fruitful relationship with Poole Pirates.”

Matt Ford, Poole Pirates owner, said: “This SGB win is possibly one of our greatest achievements since taking over the club – this has been a team built with strength and depth without any recognised super star very much of the ilk of the 1969 championship winning team.

“The club is built from the base upwards and the crucial part which makes us different to any other club in British speedway is the support network we have around us. We have been associated with Trethowans since 2016 and it is very clear to see why it has become the number one legal firm in our local area.”

As well as its offices in Poole and Bournemouth, Trethowans has operations in Salisbury, Southampton and Winchester and a base in London. To find out more visit www.trethowans.com
