Westover sees shift in focus for car buyers

Westover Group, one of the south’s largest privately-owned motoring groups saw a significant rise in the sale of used cars in 2018 compared to 2017.

The car dealership, which has 28 different locations across Dorset and Salisbury, sold 11 per cent more cars in 2018 compared with 2017.

Mat Carrington, group sales director of core brands at Westover, commented: “The car sales market was expected to be an uncertain one last year, however we saw an increase in enquiries for used and new cars.

“We pride ourselves on being a trusted brand for customers in the region and further afield. We are dedicated to continually making improvements to our dealerships and ensuring we have a wide range of vehicles on offer to suit different needs and budgets.”

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders forecasted another uncertain year for the market, with the chief executive predicting declining sales in 2019.

Mat added: “This year is predicted to be another uncertain year for car sales, however we are well positioned in the market and have more than 800 approved used cars on our books.”

Westover Group represents 15 vehicle manufacturers – Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Dacia, Fiat, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lotus, Nissan, Renault, Skoda and Toyota across 28 locations in Dorset and Wiltshire. To view the latest roles available at Westover Group please visit www.westovergroup.co.uk
