Dorset Charity to support and understand the impact of Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse on their Employees

Sexual Trauma and Recovery Services (STARS Dorset) will run a webinar on Wednesday 3rd February from 12pm – 2pm to consider the impact of Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence in the Workplace.  The webinar is aimed at Dorset businesses to enable them to support their employees and work colleagues and better understand the impact of trauma and increase their support. The webinar will take place during Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week.

The webinar is ideal for those who work in Human Resources and those who would just like to find out more about the subject. The webinar will include delegates understanding the impact of trauma and how sexual violence and domestic abuse impacts both on the employee as well as other work colleagues.  Delegates will gain confidence in knowing how to respond to a disclosure in the most safe and appropriate manner for the employee involved with knowledge of how to refer onto specialist services and continue to support the employee.

The week aims to generate discussion among the general public, statutory bodies and third sector organisations about how sexual abuse and sexual violence is not ok (#itsnotok).
