Bournemouth University (BU) is inviting local businesses to join them in February as they officially launch this year’s Festival of Design & Engineering.
Taking place on Monday 26 February, 5pm to 8pm, in BU’s Fusion Building, the ‘Festival of Design & Engineering 2024: Industrial Review Night’, will give employers a fantastic opportunity to meet final year Design and Engineering students and discuss their concepts and projects with them. These projects will then be exhibited as part of BU’s Festival of Design & Engineering, in June.
Many of our students’ projects are a direct result of industry collaboration, and offer a solution to a real-life problem; quite often, they result from practical issues experienced during their work placement year. This is one of the many reasons why we would love as many local business people from across a range of sectors to join us in February and provide our students with valuable feedback and insights.
Originally introduced in 1992, the Festival of Design & Engineering is one of the longest-running annual events in BU’s history. Over the last 30 years, many of our students have gone on go to be recognised at a national level for their work, routinely scooping accolades at the prestigious New Designers awards.
