Dorset care matching website celebrates first birthday with one of the big five care groups signing up to the website.

Bournemouth based CarehomeBedFinder is an online website the speeds up the process of searching for care by matching the care needs of those looking, to the right care home with the right care provision. 

The well thought out website is extremely user friendly and with many unique features including a shortlisting facility that alerts you if a bed becomes available in a home that you like. A ‘Care Passport’ facility that contains information that can be emailed directly to the home, an ‘Ask the experts’ page for up to date information regarding funding and estate management.

With other unique useful time saving features the site has just landed it’s largest client so far. One of the biggest care providers in the country has signed up to the CarehomeBedFinder platform raising the total to 550 featured homes onsite in the first year.

Founder & CEO, Malcom Whitham beamed with delight as he said “Having this group on the portal is a huge moment for CarehomeBedFinder, I now feel that all of long nights, weekends and hard work has finally paid off. Although we officially launched in January 29, no one actually worked full time in the business until I left my old job and started in July so technically that’s six months of fulltime sales. It’s been a busy time of constant improvement and upgrading, with trials and failures but to see that the website has been extremely well received and people are actually finding placements using the site is really rewarding.

I know that my Mum and Aunt had nothing like this when my Grandmother needed to go into a home they were handed a directory of Dorset based care homes and had to start calling them, sometimes homes didn’t pick up or messages were not passed on and it was a time consuming, stressful and fraught time for them both, this made me give each home a 0333 number with voicemail to email feature so no enquiry goes unanswered.

However sitting in an airport lounge having booked my next flight and hotel on my phone, I had my Eureka moment and here we are today.”
