Hall & Woodhouse kicks off summer events with the return of the Dorset Beer Festival

Hall & Woodhouse to bring authentic pub experience to a range of local events in June

Independent family brewer, Hall & Woodhouse (H&W), is set to welcome guests back to its annual Dorset Beer Festival on Saturday, June 17 with all profits going straight to local charity Dorset Mind.

The festival, which runs from 11am – 10pm at H&W’s Brewery in Blandford, includes live music, freshly prepared food, and a variety of over 50 casks and kegs of beer to try on the day. Festival-goers will have the chance to taste exclusive one-off beers created by the H&W team, including a low-alcohol lager, No Crime Lime (with coriander) by Innovation Manager, Jon Mead.

Other upcoming events in H&W’s June schedule include The Wimborne Folk Festival running from 9-11th June, and H&W’s will make its debut appearance at TANKFEST between 23-25th June 2023.

Heidi McLaughlin, Visitor & Experience Manager at Hall & Woodhouse said: “For the first time this year, we’re bringing the traditional Hall & Woodhouse experience to TANKFEST with a life-like replica of one of our pubs. Guests can look forward to having a refreshing drink in a familiar environment, before enjoying the rest of the festival.”

Two distinct H&W bars will make a debut at this year’s TANKFEST, including a replica of a warm and welcoming H&W establishment named ‘Pub Inn a Field.’ A ‘pub structure’ will be installed on-site over the weekend, fitted with indoor seating and décor typically seen in H&W’s pubs. All profits from the bars will be donated back to Bovington’s Tank Museum which supports the armed services and veterans.

Additionally, H&W will celebrate the 41st Wimborne Folk Festival at The Olive Branch with live music in the pub’s large beer garden. There will also be free activities for children so families can enjoy the festivities together.

Heidi added: “Hall & Woodhouse cherishes its relationship with our local communities in Dorset, and being able to celebrate with them every year in new and exciting ways is a privilege. We’re looking forward to spending time with our guests and tasting some new beers like Outland, our new craft beer range, as well as a couple of Badger Beer favourites, which taste all the more delicious when it’s for a good cause.”
