FTS Construction Recruitment, a Bournemouth-based recruitment agency, is celebrating being awarded GOLD accreditation from the construction industry’s leading compliance platform ‘Constructionline’.
Established in 1998, originally as a Government department, Constructionline has been supporting thousands of businesses across the Public and Private sectors for over 20 years; by providing an online register of verified suppliers.
It is used by many of the UK’s leading organisations including NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and major construction companies to speed up their search, validation and purchasing decision processes considerably.
According to Wikipedia, the database contains details of over 46,000 suppliers and is accessed by over 4,000 buyer organisations.
Why is this important?
Gold membership is awarded to companies that meet a range of standardised guidelines across a broad set of categories including Environmental Management, Equal Opportunities and Quality Management. It is an evidence-based assessment that requires all policies, procedures and industry relevant training records are in place and verified – providing a seal of approval to prospective customers.
There a various membership levels, all of which involve Constructionline conducting validation checks to assesses a company’s credentials. Going for Gold requires that members are also assessed for SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) so FTS’ Office Manager, Francesca Hammond, successfully completed an IOSH Managing Safely Certification Course to ensure the team are operating safely within the workplace.
