Morebus convoy joins Clap for Carers tribute in Poole

Drivers from Morebus were proud to take part in this week’s Clap for Carers in Poole.

Six of the operator’s buses – one with a special rainbow design on its back – were driven in a convoy by drivers in fancy dress, as a tribute to the area’s NHS workers.

“Our drivers, who are also key workers, were keen to show their appreciation for those who are carrying out such vital roles at Poole Hospital and in other NHS locations across the region,” said Nikki Honer.

“We also named the day ‘More Rainbow Day’ with drivers and others in our team, making donations in order to wear the multi-colour outfits. The money will be donated to NHS Charities Together.

“This is such a worthy cause, and we want to raise as much as we possibly can for all those doing such amazing work to save lives – throughout the COVID-19 crisis and always.”

There are more than 230 NHS charities across the UK – and most of them focus on helping hospitals to do more. Collectively, these charities give £1 million every day to the NHS, so that people can stay well for longer and get better faster.
