Living Home Tech in Poole up for Prestigious Smart Building Awards 2021, with One AV in the “BEST HOME CINEMA UNDER £50K” Category

Awards Event in Farnborough Wednesday the 29th of September

  • Our entry project for a bespoke home cinema room in Verwood, Dorset is in the running for winning the award. The EI Live Show opens today and the next steps in the awards process will be announced tonight!
  • internationally recognised Smart Building Awards (SBA) 2021 are trade-only awards for those in the Audio Visuals and Smart Home sector, founded by All Things Media Ltd and in association with Essential Install Magazine. Each award has been judged by an expert panel based on the criteria set out for each category and has been individually scored for each entry,
  • The “Home Cinema Brothers” and directors of Living Home Tech (LHT) are Wes, Wayne and Luke Crutcher, with long-time friend and associate, Paul Clarke, employing 12 people and head quartered in Poole, on Mannings Heath Road.

Designing and installing personally tailored home theatres, media rooms and smart home systems in fine and “forever homes” around the world, and predominantly across the South of England, Living Home Tech transform unused or outdated rooms including garages, attics, playrooms, snugs and basements into dream interiors with their audio visual design concepts.
Due to covid, the Farnham-based SBA this year has a reduced number of awards and an adjusted judging process with an internal All Things Media panel for one year only. LHT will be in attendance at the award ceremony at the Farnborough Village Hotel. To be in a room with so many fellow design professionals in the property and interiors arena will be a welcome change from the last 18 months!

LHT director Luke said:
“Winning this award would mean the world to us and the team and really boost morale after these trying pandemic months.
We have been installing the highest grade of home cinemas and media rooms around the South for over 16 years, and although every bespoke project is special, sometimes, something really shouts with its wow factor, and this particular project was one of those!
The potential for our brand and expertise to be more widely known throughout the industry and with other design professionals will give us so many opportunities for expansion”.

LHT have been featured on TV’s Grand Designs for their unique and highly respected work, frequently working alongside Architects and Designers by providing Continued Professional Development (CPD) courses in Home Cinemas, Lighting and Hidden Speakers, accredited by professional bodies RIBA and CEDIA.

Fellow LHT director Wes added:
“This project can boast that there is no other home theatre of its kind in Dorset and it’s one of the most powerful installations in the UK, reaching a sound level of 105 decibels.  It brings such a sense of satisfaction to see it recognised and nominated for the best home cinema under £50k award, but further to that it will boost our profile and give us the chance to design even more imaginative residential projects in future.
We sincerely hope to see a winning result! Fingers are firmly crossed!”
