Skills & Learning BDP Awarded Funding For New Flex2Learn Project

Skills & Learning BDP has been awarded funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency to work alongside Learn Devon and Somerset Skills & Learning to trial a variety of learning platforms and delivery models to evidence the most effective flexible learning platform and delivery style.

The Flex2Learn project is for people either working in the care sector or people considering working in the sector.

We are asking for those who are interested in the project to complete an expression of interest survey which can be found here – www.skillsandlearningbdp.co.uk/flex2learn

Courses on offer include: Maths, English, ESOL*, Computing and Care related qualifications through a variety of delivery models, which are:

  • 100% Classroom, but at different times to fit around shift work or caring responsibilities
  • 75% Online study with webchats and some workshops
  • 100% Distance/online learning
  • 75% Classroom study with some online activities and webchat.

The pilot will come to an end on 31st March 2019. We will then review which model was the most effective, and we will use this information to inform future programming.
